U.S.-Russia Summit 2025 in Alaska: what does the astrology say?

U.S.-Russia Summit 2025 in Alaska: what does the astrology say?

U.S. President Donald Trump and Russian President Vladimir Putin met in Anchorage, Alaska (United States). Their meeting happened at a U.S. military base and started apparently at 11:32 hours local time on August 15, 2025. Not many details have come out about what the two men discussed in the meeting, and so far nothing very concrete has been announced after that. Some of the media is showing the meeting to be a Putin win, considering that he was welcome once again in a Western capital and also that no ceasefire has been forced by Trump nor any talk of more sanctions on Russia.

Let us go a couple of days back.

On August 13, on learning the location of the meeting, I had tweeted that if the Trump-Putin meeting were to happen before 12:15 hours in Anchorage on August 15, then the meeting would have a positive result, that is, the meeting would not go sans result.

The meeting began at 11:32 am, and here is its chart:

Trump-Putin summit begins in Alaska

As I said in my tweet on August 15, once the summit had finished, Trump must have had the upper hand in the meeting, with L1 showing both excellent and accidental dignity. L7 (Putin) has a poor essential dignity and extremely poor accidental dignity here. Thus, Putin appears on a much weaker and shaky footing here.

This incipient partnership between U.S. and Russia, shown by the 10th house, looks great for the moment: the 10th house being occupied by benefic Venus with excellent dignity and its ruler Moon also having great dignity. But here, problems start. Moon is in the 8th house, and if one were to rethink the above chart from a whole signs perspective, then the 7th house is occupied by infortunes with bad dignity, thus Russia's real intentions may be different and not sincere, which may hamper the partnership going forward. The 4th house, signifying the eventual end of the matter, has its lord (Saturn) in poor dignity: thus, astrology signifies that while Trump may have had the dominant hand today and while he may be exuberant. things may not end well for the U.S.-Russia partnership in the near future.

On that note, look also at the 2nd and 8th houses in the chart. L2 (eventual benefits for U.S.) is in very poor condition here, whereas L8 (eventual benefits for Russia) is doing very well. This again seems to show that eventually Russia might benefit well.

All this reminds me of the prediction I had made back in June 2025 for the U.S. for the ongoing summer season: "The country may enter in deals with some countries during this period that look financially favourable initially but soon turn sour later. The country may be a target of deception or double dealing in these deals or other trade issues."

We haven't talked of Ukraine as yet, the ostensible reason behind the summit! L9 (signifying Ukraine), Mercury, is peregrine but having excellent accidental dignity, being in the 10th house. This does not point in a very favourable direction for the future for Ukraine. That it does not have any essential dignity points to me that the presidents of U.S. and Russia were not much concerned about Ukraine: rather, they were concerned about other aspects of their partnership. In addition, L9 does not apply to L1 at all, but it does apply to L7 in a tight sextile. That is, Zelensky is not getting any traction from Trump but may have to agree with Russia on some kind of a deal.

Finally, one must note that Moon squares the Sun in 5.25 units of time, thus things having a connection to this summit or its consequences may come to light or happen, or one of the leaders is in the news at that time (not necessarily for summit-related reasons, but his being in the news has a bearing on the eventual history). Given that the Ascendant of this chart is conjunct the fixed star Vindemiatrix, renown for evil, it would not surprise me if one of the leaders falls sick or worse in 5.25 units of time. Now, this unit is unlikely to be days, given the Moon being in a fixed sign, even if the Ascendant is a turning sign. It may most likely be weeks or months.

Thus, at a cursory glance, what appeared to be a favourable time of summit for the United States may not be such a great time when it concerns its ambitions of partnership with Russia. In fact, the U.S./Trump may be an object of (successful) deception here by Russia/Putin.
