The next Pope and early days of his Papacy: astrological predictions

This is a very short post.

Pope Francis, the head of the Catholic Church, died on April 21, 2025. Astrologically, his death had been anticipated by some astrologers for some time now, including myself. In December 2024 and then again at the beginning of April 2025, I had indicated that a religious leader of the Vatican would pass away soon.

Now what next?

The election of the Pope is held very secretively, and I assume, given that the Papacy is still a powerful position, much politics must also be involved. We outsiders do not even the candidates. And we do not know when the Conclave shall begin, when they will vote, etc., otherwise those charts would have shed immense light on the future. (I do hope that the new Pope is elected before Saturn enters Aries, else things could become messy. But I think things will be wrapped up much before May 25, which is somewhat reassuring.)

We may not have a lot of astrological chats but we have the mundane charts, which anyway I regard as paramount over individual charts. The mundane charts for the Vatican seem to suggest the following to me:

• The new Pope might be a conservative: not only more conservative than Pope Francis was, but a conservative in absolute terms, not just relative terms.
• The initial months of his Papacy would be filled with intrigue. Chances are that there might be behind-the-scenes intrigue against the new Pope himself, but then, I have no idea about how the Vatican works, so maybe such intrigue in the first few months of a new Pope is normal.

It is also worth remembering here what I had written in my predictions in December 2024 for the long term about the Vatican:

"A difficult couple of decades may start for the Catholic Church. The reputation of the Church or its leaders could come to harm. Church properties may reduce or be confiscated in several places during the next two decades."
