Region in focus: Thailand

General validity period: late Mar 2025 to late Mar 2026

Season published: Northern Hemisphere Spring (late Mar 2025 to late Jun 2025)

PREDICTIONS:

• Strong chance of a major earthquake in the country during this period. (Note that this does not mean the events in Bangkok of March 28, 2025, caused by an earthquake in Myanmar: that was an earthquake in Myanmar, not in Thailand.)
• A huge storm, too, is likely in the country during this period.
• The ruling government and/or the ruler look in extreme trouble during this period. An aggressive spirit may prevail in the country. Strikes or demonstrations could happen, a violent crackdown from the police/armed forces on such events could happen, and prisons and hospitals may become busy. Such political excitement looks more probable in the latter part of the year, that is, after September 2025, or in the first half of 2026.
• Death of a state official or senior political personality or someone with political/religious authority. The monarch looks in particular danger of illness or death.
• Major transportation accident likely during this period, possibly an air or water accident.
• Religion or religious people (e.g., Buddhist monks), or some particular religious person or group, may take a more active or prominent role in Thai politics in the next few years.
• The country is now entering a long era of nearly two decades of strong financial growth, overall. (The years 2035-36, still a decade away, should especially mark a financially excellent time for the country.)
