Tariff deferral from Trump, as predicted

Tariff deferral from Trump, as predicted

Astrology is an excellent indicator for mundane events. While probably even Trump did not know which way he would turn, astrologers could know that.

On April 6, 2025, I had posted on my social media this comment:

Given the Trump tariffs were announced during a Mercury Rx period, and Mercury stations on Apr 7, before turning direct during on Apr 8, I expect some kind of a shifting or modification of the tariffs plan to be announced on Apr 7 or 8 by Trump himself or his administration.

(See this posting on my LinkedIn or Substack Notes, for example.)

Mercury turned direct for the U.S. on April 8. I was expecting things to take a turn yesterday itself, on April 8, and if I had been less careless, I should have selected April 9 as the more probable date: at the time of the announcement of the deferral on April 9, the Moon had already come in a close square with Jupiter, which is in Gemini, ruled by the very same Mercury, direct and not too slow now.

In addition, as I already mentioned in my April 8 post on the 2028 elections winner, there are extremely clear indications in the charts of J.D. Vance being in power in 2029. As I had said then, it is not possible, from my political and economic sense, that the Republican Party could go through such a self-ruinous policy as tariffs on the whole world and get away with it without a heavy political cost. Thus, I had said, if Trump is going to enforce them at all, then Vance would have to become the President sooner rather than later and undo them, for Vance's charts would otherwise not be compatible with the political cost of tariffs.

And so we now have the tariffs deferred. I suspect that always was Trump's original intention, as he doesn't seem to mind being seen as the haggling kind.

As of the time of writing, 125% tariffs have been put on China, the only country now with reciprocal tariffs. However, in my predictions for China for the 6 months of spring & summer 2025, I had written this:

Foreign affairs, especially trade relations, are troublesome. The country may suffer financially to some extent, but looks likely to still be preserved from great harm.

So far, the troublesome trade relations bit has happened. I guess financial suffering shall also follow. However, I had also said "looks likely to still be preserved from great harm": thus, I expect China either to find a way out of great economic harm, which usually could be expected by a 125% tariff, or China to find its way, finally, to the negotiating table with Trump. Let us see what happens.

It, of course, could also happen that the preservation from great harm part does not happen, that my prediction on that count proves itself to be incorrect.

To retrograde back to the retrograde we started with, here was a wonderful example of how retrogrades can bring back cheer and joy, too, to large parts of the world. Retrogrades are often associated with accidents and inconveniences in the mind. Let this be a useful lesson that it is not always so. Sometimes, going back on something, like Trump has done, is a good thing.

While I do have your attention, before finishing, let me also say something totally unrelated (something which I have already mentioned on my social media and updated the Critical Dates page with):

On April 11, 2025, at around 7:20 pm UTC (which is around 3:20 pm ET), a major disaster or incident could happen. I have not done enough modeling as to estimate where in the world this could happen, or exactly what kind of negative incident it would be, but the Middle East, Spain, eastern Australia, Northeast U.S. (including Washington DC) and the West Coast of U.S. (including bordering areas of Canada) look especially critical. (For Australia, this time would be the early morning of 12 Apr.)

Note: Regularly updated lists of some of my successful predictions in the past can be found here. They include Trump win, South Korea martial law events, Israel's recent successes in military affairs, collapse of governments in Canada and Norway, the fall of several other leaders, several elections correctly called, and numerous earthquakes and other natural disasters.
