PREDICTIONS

Korean Peninsula as a whole

• Autumn may be warmer than usual. However, spells of strong storm could happen.

North Korea

Note: This post must be read along with some medium-term and long-term predictions for the country published in the Summer 2025 predictions post for the country.

• The ruler or some person in a top political or military position looks in strong danger, especially during late February-early March 2026 or late April-early May 2026 period. Life, position and reputation in danger. Even an armed coup could take place against the ruler.
• The country may suffer strongly from spying and other underhand activity during this period. There could also be scandal or underhand plot involving an organisation of charity, religion or place of isolation (see Terminology page).
• Death of or scandal about someone rich or a prominent female personality during this period.
• Financial or trade troubles for the country during this period.

South Korea

Note: This post must be read along with some long-term predictions for the country published in the Summer 2025 predictions post for the country.

• There may be discontent among the people, the source of trouble probably being foreign affairs or foreign trade. Foreign affairs or trade relations, in general, are troublesome during this period.
• Uncertainty in political affairs is high. People may mobilise themselves in some sort of a strong demonstration or strikes during this period. The ruler looks busy but also in trouble: if there were elections scheduled during this period, I would have said the ruler would go. The ruler could face sickness or injury during this period.
• There may be a major scandal in the country involving a woman or the ruling party or some foreign business in the country.
• Major transportation accident could happen.
• Late February-early March 2026 or late April-early May 2026 period may bring quite much underhand activity against the country. Military affairs (or police/security matters) may become prominent; there could be some kind of military attack on the country or military skirmish.
