India: Winter 2025-26

This post is regarding astrological predictions for India during Winter 2025-26 season (late December 2025 to late March 2026 period). PREDICTIONS

Note 1: It is strongly recommended that you read the Year 2025-26 predictions for the country, here, in conjunction with this post. It is also advised to read the long-term predictions for the country, which can be accessed on a dedicated page for long-term predictions, here.

To read predictions that were made for India for the ongoing Autumn 2025 season, click here. Many of them have already realised themselves, for example, the several explosions in the country (Delhi and Srinagar blasts) and the BJP's good performance in Bihar elections.

Note 2: In this season, the country will be entering a very difficult 7-year period. Instability at the top, wars and conflicts, terrorism and communal conflicts, as well as a floundering economy would be some key features of this 7-year period. (The year 2031 would in particular be an annus horribilis. The year 2026, too, would be an eventful year and a poor one, especially on the economic front.)

And now for the predictions for the Winter 2025-26 period:

• It may be an unusually wet winter in some parts of the country. Overall, it may be a colder than usual winter.
• I have long said that Year 2025-26 starts a very long period of strong decline for the BJP, currently India's ruling party (see, for example, my Year 2025-26 predictions). It is from this Winter season that the unabated decline of the BJP starts (or may have started in the days leading up to this season). At the same time, its politics may become much more aggressive or communal from now on.
• Death of state officials or government members. The ruler cannot be ruled out. Death of prominent old people, or there may be incidents in which several old people die in this period. Death of people connected with science, philosophy or religion or those on a religious visit also likely.
• Death also possible of some actor/artist or prominent businessperson.
• Incidents that lead to the deaths of large numbers of common people continue in the country. Mortality could be high; disease also could afflict some parts of the country. Deaths of soldiers or security personnel (e.g., policemen or firefighters) highly likely in this period.
• Strong likelihood of major transportation accident(s) (railway ones, in particular) and incidents of fires/explosions in the country during this period.
• There may be difficult times for a bank or some large business house which has a large debt on its books or that is found fudging accounts. Some major financial scam may emerge. The country to do poorly, overall, when it comes to finances and resources during this period.
• There is a significant amount of discussion in the country, including in its Parliament, regarding some nearby/neighbouring country. This discussion is mostly in negative terms about this country, and there may even be warlike talk. Relations with some nearby/neighbouring country degrade drastically.
• A new undertaking or agreement in foreign or trade relations (with a faraway country) may be made (or may have been made in the days leading up to this season). It may lead to a lot of talk or hype but may eventually not prove durable or very beneficial.
• Success in the world of sport may be ordinary for the country at the beginning of this period, but it may improve with time.
