High drama in the U.S.: all as predicted, and much more to come

In the past couple of days, high drama, even by Trump standards, has hit the United States. A public feud has blown up between U.S. President Donald Trump and business magnate Elon Musk, with Musk claiming that Trump's name is on the Epstein files, and Trump threatening to cut subsidies and contracts to Musk's firms. (By the time I am done posting this, who knows if this drama has added one more chapter or tweet!)

Let us then look at where all this stands, and what is likely to happen in the future, with respect to my predictions.

In this post published in November 2024, I had predicted that June 2025 may bring an indulgent period for Trump, as he might be on a showy foreign visit, and July-August 2025 may bring a fall in public image and sharp criticism.

When the showy foreign trip of Trump, in which he indulged, among other things, in that Qatari plane gift, happened rather in May 2024 (a very accurate prediction, but off by a month), I realised, after also taking into account some previous occurrences of this year, that I might need to revise all my predictions regarding Trump around 20 days or so upwards in time. Probably the birth time that I use for Trump in my analyses is wrong by around 40 seconds, which would make for approximately this much difference.

Hence, on May 21, I posted this on my social media, with a slightly revised timeline:

"... in the June-August 2025 period, a fall in his public image and severe criticism directed at him."

June has come, and so has the danger of a fall in public image. Certainly, this public feud with someone like Elon Musk, who has a big following of his own, isn't great for Trump, and if the feud grows further, Musk may not hesitate to spill some beans on Trump, damaging further the latter's public image.

All this fight is over the so-called One Big, Beautiful Bill, which Trump is trying to get passed in the parliament, while Musk, calling it an abomination, is pressurising Republicans to vote against it in the Senate.

This slugfest reminds me of what I had predicted in my Spring/Year 2025-26 predictions for the United States (published on March 16, 2025):

"There may be delay or obstruction in parliamentary affairs or the passing of some key legislation or budget."

(You will find many of the Spring predictions already realised, some of which were recapitulated here.)

So what next?

Let us begin with Trump.

In the same November 2024 post and the social media post I have linked to above, I also said this:

"Then, in the August 2025-January 2026 period, concerns about his [Trump's] health or danger to life.

I expect J.D. Vance to soon be the U.S. President."

I guess the above is quite clear as to what I mean. (When Trump won the Presidential election last year, I had called it "a poisoned chalice," for the charts were not good for whosoever would have become the ruler of the United States.) To make it even more explicitly clear, let me quote from what I wrote in April 2025:

"(1) Vance may become the U.S. President in H2 2025 itself;
(2) Vance looks set to win the 2028 Presidential elections and continue as the President in 2029."

OK, so we have had a look at Trump and Vance. So then, what about Elon Musk?

Back in October 2024, I had said this for him:

"... except for some tragedy that could befall his mother, Maye Musk, in a few months' time, the next several months look quite good to me for Musk."

I had also predicted "an enormous influence and wielding of this power by him" and a "big transformation in his life."

Musk's charts look, on the power front, excellent to me in the coming years as well. Let us go back to what I had said about Musk in my Spring/Year 2025-26 predictions post:

"Elon Musk's political power may increase significantly further during this period. However, he may face financial or debt-related issues. Professional changes may happen for him during this year. Also, his mother, Maye Musk, may see sickness or worse. Freedom is an important theme for him during this year, and tensions may arise with the U.S. President."

Tensions have indeed arisen, as predicted, between Musk and the U.S. President. Are financial issues also going to flare up? Maybe. All Musk companies' valuation/share prices would suffer for the time being, as the feud continues, even if Trump doesn't cut the contracts. Temporarily, it might get ugly for Musk a little bit. However, I foresee Musk's political power going up, up and up. I think he will find an ally in Vance, but having been singed by the Trump experience and also in his personal quest for greater power, he might not want to depend on the U.S. President just through donating money: is he going to form a new political party, then? Monetary support can be forgotten by people once in power, which Musk has termed "ingratitude," but political necessities cannot be. The proposition would be, and should be, attractive for Musk. Even a small percentage of dent in the Midterms would make him a kingmaker when it comes to policies, which he would want to shape as he wants to.

So let's go back to an old post. Back in May 2024, I had predicted this (here) for the United States for the period from May 3, 2024, to April 24, 2038:

"A new political party or parties may form [during this period], which would probably do well or have a meteoric rise."

Is Elon Musk going to fulfill the above prediction as well?
