General validity period: late December 2025 to late March 2026 (around 21 Dec 2025 to 20 Mar 2026)

Season of focus: Northern Hemisphere Winter (late Dec 2025 to late Mar 2026)

PREDICTIONS

Now for the predictions specific to Winter 2025-26:

• High amount of precipitation in the country during this period, especially in eastern Turkey, which may also experience strong cold.
• Crops may face difficulties in this period.
• Tragic incidents or natural occurrences (such as earthquakes) that lead to fall of structures and buildings may happen during this period. If it's an earthquake, the possibility of a major quake is the highest in western Turkey (the zone shown below), especially Çanakkale-İzmir-Balıkesir triangle area:

• A difficult time for democracy in the country continues, with the opposition continuing to be targeted. People's movements may rise up but also get crushed. This is more the case in the initial part of this period. From late January 2026 onwards, the government itself starts to show weakness or the ruler faces difficulties or health concerns.
• There may be arrests, sickness/injuries or death of journalists or those who are in the world of media, entertainment or education (which means, students and professors also at risk).
• Noteworthy crime or incidents could occur at place(s) of education or at tourist hotspots, or targeting the young.
• Death of someone who holds or held a position of power or high status.
• Major transportation accident possible in the country during this period.
• Foreign relations look disturbed in this period, especially with some nearby country, but at the same time the country may attempt to make a major initiative in relations with some country (probably a far away country).
