Taiwan: Autumn & Winter 2025-26

Region in focus: Taiwan

General validity period: late September 2025 to late March 2026 (around 23 Sep 2025 to 20 Mar 2026)

Season of focus: Northern Hemisphere Autumn (late Sep 2025 to late Dec 2025)

Date when this prediction is being published: 16 September 2025

PREDICTIONS

Note: The region has entered a long period of radical changes in its relationship with nearby countries. As I have said before a few times (for example, here and in my previous China and Taiwan prediction posts), China could make a move on Taiwan in 2025-27 period, and the likeliest period appears to be mid-Spring to Summer 2026 period.

Now for the predictions for late September 2025 to late March 2026 period:

• There may be strong storms in autumn in the region.
• Disruptions or strong developments in foreign relations may happen during September to early November 2025 period.
• Trade or financial relations with some other country/countries could see strong changes. There may be both setbacks and some good deals.
• Relations with a nearby country look troubled in this period.
• Death of a popular personality or a leader with mass appeal is likely in this period.
• Sudden or unexpected death of a political leader highly likely in this period. It could be the result of some kind of underhand plot or conspiracy.
• Parliamentary affairs look troubled, and relations between political parties appear quarrelsome. The ruling party or government looks embarrassed.
• The period from mid-February 2026 onwards, for the next few months, shows a shaky period for the government, in which it may bear much criticism, and some member of the government could suffer from controversy or scandal. People look unsettled. The first half of March 2026 and early May 2026 look the most critical in this respect.
