Neptune in Aries: implications for the world and various countries

From the tropical astrology perspective, Neptune has been in the sign of Pisces, considered as the sign it rules, in April 2011 and is now in the final degrees of Pisces. Neptune will enter the next sign of Aries at the end of March 2025 and will exit it in May 2038: a long 14-year period. In between, for a brief duration of 3 months, from October 2025 to January 2026, it will retrograde back to Pisces, but thereafter will be in Aries till May 2038. Again, after exiting 2038 and going into Taurus, it will reenter Aries in October 2038 before moving to Taurus again in March 2039. Thus, in this post, what we are concerned with is the 15-year period from March 2025 till March 2039, but the effects will be significant between May 3, 2024 and April 24, 2038, taking the transitions into account. As the planet will move from a water sign to a fire sign, and given that Neptune will move from where it feels the most comfortable into a sign where it is not much comfortable, this is even a bigger change than normal.

If you read my Neptune-Pluto conjunction cycles post published earlier, you would have an idea what Neptune represents: the ideals of human societies, their dreams, but also the smoke of overoptimism, illusions and deception. Many political parties and stocks which have relied on overoptimism or deception of masses must have seen immense strength accumulating to them since April 2011 while Neptune was in Pisces. In general, most stocks and speculative instruments would have seen an explosive growth during this time, as an overoptimism pervades the atmosphere: in fact, Bitcoin was born in 2009 when Neptune was about to enter Pisces and became popular during 2011-2013 once Neptune was in Pisces. The boom in cryptocurrencies has much to do with Neptune. Political parties and leaders who would have relied on deceiving people or creating confusion or overoptimism would have done very well during this period, and, again, just like the birth and adoption of cryptocurrencies, some new parties and leaders may also have emerged, with their main emphasis being sowing confusion and deception and thriving on it. I do not need to name these parties, because even though as a political astrologer, I prefer to remain far from the mud of politics while practising as an astrologer, otherwise one starts to lose objectivity. But whichever country you are from, you will surely find which party or group this would match to.

Of course, it need not be that a given entity has to engage in creating confusion or deception. Any chart showing Neptune in an angular position, for example, will have shown huge success during this Neptune-in-Pisces period and may have much more ordinary or even not good outing now as Neptune transitions to Aries. An example would be the Mumbai Indians team in the IPL: it is owned by Indiawin Sports, which, if one were to take 12 noon as its birth time, was "born" (registered) in Mumbai on November 28, 2007, with Neptune exactly conjunct the Ascendant. One would imagine this company, Indiawin, to have spectacular success and earnings (Neptune is ruling the 2nd house in the chart) during 2011-2023 period, but from now onwards till 2037, the promise seems much less and winning the IPL starts looking difficult and rare. As I write, I see that MI has been having a woeful time in the ongoing IPL. This would be applicable to all teams owned by Indiawin, thus the other MI teams as well. Of course, in the period from October 2025 to January 2026, the MI teams, as long as owned by Indiawin, may again see good success.

So what happens next for the world as we are now into Neptune-in-Aries territory? I will look at the world in general and some countries in particular. The "world" section is open for all to read, so other astrologers, too, can benefit from it, whereas the different countries I would discuss can be read by the Platinum subscribers. (And, of course, the likely future of Indiawin Sports, the company owning Mumbai Indians team.)

The world: May 3, 2024–April 24, 2038

One can of course recall what happened the last time Neptune was in Aries, which was from 1861 to 1874, with transition starting from 1860 itself. It saw the American Civil War, the Paraguayan War and, in general, colonisers or imperial interests becoming strong (e.g., in India, China, New Zealand, Russia, Ghana). So would it be something similar? Yes and no. One must note that in the 1860s and 1870s, Pluto was in Taurus, whereas during this time Pluto will be in Aquarius. Both Taurus and Aquarius are fixed signs, thus the results obtained during 2024-2038 will be longlasting, but Taurus is an earth sign, a sign of obstinacy, consolidation and material interests, whereas Aquarius is an air sign, a sign of fraternity, intellectualism and humanitarianism. Neptune in Aries in both cases means that there will be adventure in the air, pitched battles, fractious vibes and an atmosphere of conquest, yet the targets and effects will be very different.

(A digression of sorts: If you want to go further back to the next historical Neptune in Aries, then that would be late 1690s and the decade of 1700s. With Pluto in Leo, it was the time of kings who reigned supreme: the very aptly nicknamed Sun King (Louis XIV) in France, Frederick IV in Denmark-Norway, Aurangzeb in India, the Kangxi Emperor in China, Peter the Great in Russia. Neptune in Aries gave birth to or consolidated new autocracies or new Sun Kings: Maratha Empire in India, John V in Portugal, the union of England and Scotland. I hope, as a reader, you are able to read the tea leaves now and also understand how the world is actuated on astrological principles.)

To continue with the present time and its comparison with the previous time Neptune was in Aries, while the 1860s and 1870s remade the world in order to take it, literally, to a heavy consolidation of material interests, and thus often helping imperial or colonial interests, this time, given Pluto's position in Aquarius, it should be rather a remaking of the world in the direction of social movements and egalitarian movements. Unlike the 1960s, when Neptune was in Scorpio, thus revolt for the sake of trying to discover an inner meaning, thus leading to the hippie movement of drugs, free sex and anarchy, this time there would be proper revolts, not for their own sake but in order to win, to establish new markers, new boundaries, new systems in place. I summarise in a few points what to anticipate.

Expect socialism and even communism to take centre-stage in several locations, leftism to become strident and a lot of currently centre-left or right-of-centre parties to go over the edge towards a more strident socialism and activist mode (e.g., the Democrats in the U.S. or the Aam Aadmi Party in India).
Scholarly settings should be strongly affected across the world, and one can already see the evidence of it in the current student protests sweeping the U.S. campuses.
At the same time, inevitably, there will be a reaction on the conservative right, and many groups and parties may move to extreme right, leading to violence and pitched fights between the extreme left and extreme right groups. In countries where it is the left that is entrenched in power (e.g., China), conservative movements may arise to reclaim rights and voice.
New parties and groups, both political and social, to emerge, form, consolidate, but they may be unable to take power in their hands. However, they may still play a big role on the world stage.
Several rulers and ruling parties to be swept away, the hierarchy of power to see big changes. Some countries to see new borders, splits, new dynamics of geopolitical weight.
Communication media to see strong development, crossing new frontiers. Expect metaverses and AI to become solidly entrenched in the daily life of common man by 2038. However, this would bring significant challenges in communication rather than the converse (think fake news and deep morphs on an altogether different scale, e.g. "fakeverses"). This ties in with the overall trend of the Neptune-Pluto conjunction cycle human civilisation is in currently, as discussed here by me earlier.
Women's rights could suffer during this time, and women also to be at the forefront of protests at several places.
A time of disease and ill health.
Some very big scams, frauds and bankruptcies to make news during this period. Investors should be careful of companies with an angular Neptune, especially if that Neptune is activated also by midpoints. One way for a layman to check this is how such a company did in the 2011-2023 period.
Overall, speculative investments, especially cryptocurrencies, to suffer, but of course if someone is losing, someone is winning somewhere, so investments are often about cherrypicking, not just the macro picture. In general, overall wealth creation may slow down considerably or may even reverse direction.
The seas could be rougher overall: expect more typhoons and the like. In general, also expect very wet weather in general. Countries that have not planned for wet weather, which is the case with several European countries and countries that see arid climate, should prepare for it. The recent UAE and Oman floods and Saudi Arabia floods yesterday are a reminder of this. (This ties in with my prediction of a Global Cooling cycle in the 2026-2084 period, which I have mentioned on my LinkedIn and which will see a significant higher precipitation. I am yet to create a post on it here.)

United States: May 3, 2024–April 24, 2038

The country to see severe strife in the form of the struggle between democratic movements and those who want to quash them. Strong discontent prevails all round.
A new political party or parties may form, which would probably do well or have a meteoric rise.
Democratic Party to face strong changes internally and may also experience violent attacks on their cadre.
The country is highly likely to be at war during this period and face reverses or even defeat. The years 2033 and 2034 look particularly unfortunate for the country.
Illness to plague the country during this period.
Temperatures could drop significantly.

United Kingdom: May 3, 2024–April 24, 2038

Precipitation to increase significantly, but also some very warm spells: in short, a perfect recipe for storms. If these are storms hitting the coastline, it could also affect the offshore wind industry, which is big off the coast of Scotland and probably also in the Humber region. Investors should take note.
Illness could plague the country.
Heavy expenditure on armed forces, which could face significant losses or damage. Reverses, too, in the domain of foreign relations overall.
People of the country to be strongly discontented.

France: May 3, 2024–April 24, 2038

The country to face significant unrest. Police and military forces to be very active.
Religious disputes to increase even more and be a primary cause of the aforementioned civil unrest. (The feverish pursuing of laïcité by the French state is also religious: all natal charts of France, whether that of the Bastille fall or the modern Fifth Republic, show a country in the grip of religion. It is just that modern religion in France has become the oppression of religion and the worship of state.)
Schools to be significantly affected by the unrest. Violence against (and by) children. Birth rate to decline significantly.
A significant change in the state's structure and governance, and even a Sixth Republic cannot be ruled out. Foreign trade could suffer, and there is every likelihood some colony could become independent of French rule during this period.
The country could face severe storms during this period.

China: May 3, 2024–April 24, 2038

The country to face a massive, almost-unprecedented earthquake during this period.
Economy to suffer significantly during this period. Foreign trade, especially trade by sea, is affected negatively.
The currently ruling party may fall from power. Both popular opinion and armed forces could turn against the ruling party. A significant transformation of the country on the cards.

Türkiye: May 3, 2024–April 24, 2038

The country suffers from weak or confused leadership. Governments may not be stable. There may be several attempts to grab power at the top.
People are strongly discontented.
Decline of birth rate.
Foreign trade may suffer.
Higher education institutions may suffer.

Brazil: May 3, 2024–April 24, 2038

The country could face an epidemic during this time, leading to several deaths. The epidemic could force shutdown of lower education institutions (children's schools).
Warlike activity takes place.

Canada: May 3, 2024–April 24, 2038

A very unfortunate period for the country. Scandals could envelop the country. Popular movements to shake the country and may even gain power.
Tensions with neighbouring country.
While much of the rest of the world is seeing cooler weather and increased precipitation, here it may be the opposite: heat and dry weather, punctuated by sudden storms.
Women's rights could be negatively affected, or crimes against women may take place.

Israel: May 3, 2024–April 24, 2038

Armed forces to be very active during this period and may face reverses.
Spies and/or secret enemies cause trouble for the country. Political discord to be strongly prevalent within the country.
Popular movements to the fore, which could cause fall of ruling government(s).

Iran: May 3, 2024–April 24, 2038

Pleasant, somewhat warm (but not unduly hot) weather to dominate this period, which probably would mean some more precipitation than usual in an otherwise largely-arid country.
Issues with neighbouring country(ies) take centre stage. Military to be active and see mixed results (some victories, some reverses).
The country may see a change in leadership.

Saudi Arabia: May 3, 2024–April 24, 2038

The country is at war. As a result, very high expenditure. Armed forces are active and may face some reverses.
The ruling dynasty under extreme pressure and looks unfortunate.
People living in the country are discontented.

United Arab Emirates: May 3, 2024–April 24, 2038

Actual war or warlike situation to prevail. If war happens, the country's armed forces would face significant reverses.
Foreign relations could see change in allies.
Foreign trade or tourist inflow looks negatively affected. Finances under pressure.

Australia: May 3, 2024–April 24, 2038

Coastline to see severe gales and storms.
Serious disputes or incidents regarding religion or science may take place.
Foreign trade to be severely negatively affected.
Popular movements are at the fore, and rulers look under pressure or could even fall down.

Norway: May 3, 2024–April 24, 2038

The oil and gas industry looks under extreme pressure. Finances of the country could face a hit.
Ruler(s) of the country may fall or die.
Weather may be less colder than usual but with much more rain.

Japan, Germany, South Korea: May 3, 2024–April 24, 2038

The ruler(s) look highly unpopular, and popular discontent is to the fore.
In the case of Japan, weather may be drier and hotter than usual.
In the case of Germany, foreign trade may suffer.
In the case of South Korea, police forces or military look very active.

South Africa: May 3, 2024–April 24, 2038

Ruler(s) are under pressure, and ruling governments are not stable. Popular movements rise up against government(s).
Foreign relations look troubled. Foreign trade may be negatively affected.

India: May 3, 2024–April 24, 2038

Legislative work to see obstacles and delays. A time of coalition governments. Political parties to get split or new ones to form.
Case(s) of some big business group or bank failing. Losses on the stock exchange.
Decline and fall of the BJP. Top leadership of the party to suffer, and the party's external communications may not work as intended.
And the future of Mumbai Indians' owner Indiawin Sports? The company is highly likely to be listed or sold to a rival during this period, probably both (first listed, then sold). Except for the winter of 2025, all the MI teams owned by the company likely to perform not very well.
