Before reading, please make sure you understand the terminology used on this website. Also, read this post about understanding predictions.

A track record of some successful predictions made so far is maintained on my blog.

This post won't be edited once it's published.

Please also refer to the general Global Overview of Year 2026-27 before reading.

Region in focus: India

General validity period: late March 2026 to late June 2026 (around 20 Mar 2026 to 21 Jun 2026)

Season of focus: Northern Hemisphere Spring (late Mar 2026 to late Jun 2026)

Date when this prediction is being published: 14 Mar 2026

Note: It is strongly recommended to read the long-term predictions for the country, which can be accessed on a dedicated page for long-term predictions, here. It is also advised to read this February 2025 post, in which I had analysed India's economic cycles and had foreseen strong troubles for investors in the Indian stock markets.

Now follow the predictions specific to late March to late June 2026 period.

PREDICTIONS

  • The country may see several episodes of rain, unusual for most parts of the country during this season. Some of them could be strong spells of rain and may even bring floods. Summer, overall, could be cooler than usual.
  • There could be a significant earthquake in roughly the Sikkim-West Bengal area of the country.
  • Significant troubles for the government and/or ruler, in terms of support from other political parties as much as popularity among people. The government may attract strong criticism, and the reputation or popularity of the government or ruler nosedives. The ruler's power lacks much longevity now. Especially, the period around 3-9 June (in particular, 6 June) looks negative with respect to things touching the ruler/government and people-government relations.
  • The people of the country are strongly discontented, and May 2026 (especially around 13-16 May) may bring major events in the country affecting the government as well as evincing the discontent of people. From May 2026 onwards, the country will have entered a several years long period of popular movements and instability.
  • The country's finances (revenue generation vis-à-vis expenditure) could be in a poor condition in this period and would be the topic of political/parliamentary discussions as well as the reason for important policy changes. Foreign trade suffers.
  • Some important discussion on the railways may take place, affecting its operations and/or revenues. Some other means of communication/transportation may also be important matters under discussion.
  • Some important forgery or financial scandal may take place, or some noteworthy bank may be in strong troubles.
  • Stocks, overall, could take a strong beating, especially in the second half of April 2026.
  • Relations with some nearby/neighbouring country(ies) deteriorate and may see significant troubles in mid- or late April 2026 or from then onwards. Matters could degrade to such an extent that the country may get enmeshed in a military conflict.
  • Major transportation accident(s) are likely to occur. Both aviation and railway incidents are anticipated.
  • The period around 17-21 April as well as late April are highly malefic, in the context of major accidents, relations with nearby/neighbouring countries and developments on stock exchanges.
  • There may be a notable scandal or noteworthy negative incidents affecting or hurting children or places that are frequented by children.
  • There may be significant events and/or strongly malefic incidents in or around Mumbai during 6-9 May and in or around Chennai during 17-19 May.
  • There is a very high likelihood of the fall of current ruler/government in West Bengal.

For possible critical dates specific to the country, see the Critical Dates page.

Note: Regularly updated lists of some of my successful predictions in the past can be found here. They include Ayatollah Khamenei's assassination and U.S.-Israeli strikes on Iran, popular unrest in Iran, Brown University and Bondi Beach mass shootings, India's trade troubles with the U.S. and worsening economy, the Twelve-Day War, the timing of India's missile strikes on Pakistan, the death of Pope Francis, Trump win, Japanese, French, Indonesian, Thai and South Korean politics in the recent past, several elections correctly called, and numerous earthquakes, accidents and other disasters (such as the UPS plane crash in Kentucky, the Switzerland, Hong Kong, Dhaka, and Ōita fires, or the Japan, Shigatse, and Kamchatka big earthquakes).
