Predictions for Monsoon 2026 period, published on 2 May 2026, were largely highly successful for the country. The BJP's decline accelerated, and strong dissatisfaction of the people of the country came to the fore in the form of several protests, which pushed the government onto the backfoot. I had predicted 26-29 July 2026 as highly malefic for Modi: while he survived for now, his minister could not, forced to resign unprecedentedly, just a day before my predicted date range. Kashmir saw two terror attacks as well as strong landslides, though they occurred earlier in the season than I had anticipated. Most parts of the country saw rainfall deficit, even if several parts also saw sharp spells of rain and flooding. Now what next?

This post is regarding astrological predictions for India during Autumn-Winter 2026-27 period (late September 2026 to late March 2027 period), in particular Autumn 2026 period (late September 2026 to late December 2026). PREDICTIONS

Note: It is strongly recommended to also read the long-term predictions for the country, which can be accessed on a dedicated page for long-term predictions, here.

  • Armed forces and/or security forces (police, paramilitary, firefighters, etc.) are highly active in this period. Armed/security forces could face reverses or unpleasant incidents.
  • Conflict, war and strong catastrophes mark the Autumn period. There may also be a very prominent suicide case in the country during the Autumn period.
  • The spotlight is firmly on foreign relations, which suffer considerably, especially when it concerns a neighbouring or nearby nation. Relations with a Muslim neighbouring or nearby nation are particularly subject to strong developments. Much resources of the state go to foreign relations and armed forces.
  • Death of notable politicians, state officials/administrators, religious leaders, the wealthy. This may include death of a person at a very top position. Death also of artists, notably a well-known female singer or prominent actress. A well-known astrologer or person from similar field may also die during this period.
  • The ruler is strongly troubled. Early November, notably around 4 November 2026, brings a difficult time for him, or for the constitutional structure. If the ruler lives, his popularity keeps diminishing.
  • The country's currency may fall dramatically in this period.
  • There is not much peace within the country.
  • A prominent religious shrine may suffer collapse or damage or see a major malefic incident. The Ayodhya Ram Temple could see more scams or damage to building.
  • Major travel accident is likely, notably relating to plane. Notable rail accidents also likely.
  • The second half of February 2027 (or the second half of May 2027) is likely to bring strong troubles for ANI Technologies (the parent holding company of Ola Cabs).
  • Autumn is quite wet, and temperatures are on the colder side. Some significant storms and high winds may also occur. Winter, too, would be wet and colder than usual.

For possible critical dates specific to the country, see the Critical Dates page. Some critical dates I've added there now: 27 Sep, 19-27 Oct, 3-6 Nov, 14-17 Nov 2026; 19-22 Feb, 20-27 Mar, 18-21 May 2027.

Note: Regularly updated lists of some of my successful predictions in the past can be found here. They include Ayatollah Ali Khamenei's assassination and the U.S.-Israel-Iran war's beginning and overall conduct so far; popular unrest in Iran; the UAE's troubles in real estate, economy and foreign relations; the heavy attacks and resulting casualties in Saudi Arabia; Keir Starmer's stepping down as UK Prime Minister; Brown University and Bondi Beach mass shootings; India's trade troubles with the U.S. and worsening economy; the CBSE and NEET examination scandals in India, and the subsequent strong protests against and troubles for Modi government in late July 2026; the Twelve-Day War; the timing of India's missile strikes on Pakistan; the death of Pope Francis; Trump win; several elections correctly called; and numerous earthquakes, accidents and other disasters (such as the Gyirong Port Nepal-Tibet landslide; UPS plane crash in Kentucky or the Boeing B-52 bomber crash in California; the Switzerland, Hong Kong, Dhaka, and Ōita fires; or the Aomori, Sanriku, Iwate, Kumamoto, Shigatse, Kamchatka, Venezuela and Western Cuba notable earthquakes).
