Note: Prediction periods are not ON-OFF switches. Thus, if some prediction period starts from, let us say, 15 October, it is not that things cannot happen on 13 or 14 October. Astrometeorological predictions for the period 22-31 December 2024:

  • Severe storm or extremely heavy rains in Kiribati, French Polynesia and/or Cook Islands.
  • The region around Samoa and Tonga, too, could see very heavy rains. Fiji is close to this area.
  • North Island of New Zealand may see highly windy and wet weather.
  • A major earthquake possible in the Southwest Pacific Ocean area. New Caledonia-Vanuatu area looks the most vulnerable on charts.
  • Heavy rain probable on the eastern coast of Australia and in Victoria and Tasmania.
  • The province of South Australia may see a strong storm.
  • Salmon Islands and Papua New Guinea could see heavy rains. Nearby northern Queensland areas could also be affected.
  • Hotter than usual weather possible in parts of the Philippines. This in turn may induce some heavy rains in some areas.
  • Java and Kalimantan could see heavy rains.
  • Heavy to very heavy rains possible all over the region of Vietnam-Cambodia-Thailand and neighbouring parts of China as well as Singapore and western Malaysia. Extremely heavy rains or landslide possible in southern Thailand and Sumatra.
  • A strong earthquake is possible in Myanmar-China border region or in the border region of Arunachal Pradesh-China.
  • A cold and wet period for most of China, especially the provinces of Yunnan, Sichuan and Guizhou.
  • Strong precipitation in Tibet, Bhutan and northeast India.
  • The southern tip of India and Kerala coast could see some rains. The Nilgiris could see copious rains.
  • Western Madhya Pradesh and neighbouring areas of Gujarat-Rajasthan as well as Delhi could see rains. Note this is supposed to be a dry season for these areas.
  • The Gulf of Oman could see a storm or strong rains. The cities of Bandar Abbas and Dubai are close to this area.
  • There may be very heavy rains in DR Congo and Angola and neighbouring areas of Zambia.
  • Many parts of West Africa may see heavy rains. Equatorial Guinea, in particular, and neighbouring regions of Nigeria and Cameroon could see very heavy rains.
  • Eastern Hungary and neighbouring areas of Europe could see heavy precipitation. In general, quite a large band of Europe, from western Romania all the way till central France, could see heavy rains and significant snowfall, with some areas seeing severe snap of cold.
  • Many areas of France, in particular, could in particular see severe cold weather. Paris and/or the Massif Central could see strong windy and cold weather. Andorra and the eastern Pyrenees could see significant snowfall. Northeastern Spain, too, could see significant precipitation.
  • The Bay of Biscay could see very strong winds.
  • Highly cold weather or significant precipitation in most parts of Sweden and Norway.
  • Most of England and Scotland to be quite windy and with copious precipitation. Strong winds in Wales and eastern Ireland, with some parts to see high precipitation.
  • Copious precipitation in Iceland and several parts of Greenland.
  • Very heavy rain in the regions of Amazonas and Acre (Brazil). Parts of Colombia and Venezuela, too, may see heavy rains.
  • Heavy precipitation probable in southern Argentina and southern Chile.
  • The area from Dominican Republic and Haiti to Cuba as well as the Bahamas could see heavy to very heavy rains.
  • Southeastern U.S., especially Florida and parts of nearby Georgia and Alabama, could see heavy precipitation.
  • Strong winds likely in Texas and the wider Gulf of Mexico region, with tornadoes likely. Kansas, Oklahoma, Nebraska, Wyoming, Colorado, or New Mexico could also see supercells.
  • Most of U.S. Northeast as well as neighbouring Canadian provinces of Ontario and Quebec could see strong precipitation.
  • The Montana-North Dakota-Saskatchewan region could see copious precipitation.
  • The West Coast region of U.S. or parts of British Columbia could see a storm or blizzard.
  • Western Alaska could see heavy precipitation. The area from Talkeetna to Bethel seems particularly exposed on the charts.
  • Heavy rains or storm possible in Hawaii.
