United Kingdom: Summer 2026

Death of a royal highly likely in this period.

In my Year 2026-27 predictions for the UK, published on 4 March 2026, I had said the ruler (Sir Keir Starmer) would give way to someone else: Starmer announced his resignation just as the summer started, with Andy Burnham looking set to succeed him.

This post is regarding astrological predictions for the United Kingdom (UK) during Summer 2026 season (late June 2026 to late September 2026 period). PREDICTIONS

Note: It is strongly recommended that you read the Year 2026-27 predictions for the country, here, in conjunction with this post. It is also advised to read the long-term predictions for the country, which can be accessed on a dedicated page for long-term predictions, here.

  • A warm but also muggy and stormy summer, overall.
  • The ruler is very unfortunate and a subject of nebulous backstabbings. Now, whether it refers to Keir Starmer's reluctant resignation as PM, which happened just as summer started, or does it also apply to the next ruler, I cannot say. Overall, popular feeling is strongly in disfavour of the ruling government. There is much political excitement.
  • The new ruler, projected to be Andy Burnham, is likely to start his time as PM with some major changes to Starmer's policies. However, the new ruler, in a continuation of Starmer's policy, looks likely to cede control of the Chagos Islands to Mauritius, in spite of U.S. President Trump's opposition (though it may occur outside Summer). Other issues relating to Britain's colonial rule and overseas territories may also come up between now and June 2027.
  • A long period of downfall for Labour now begins, with revival coming only after 2038.
  • The next few months look difficult for Reform UK leader Nigel Farage: in terms of both reputation/career and health/body.
  • Death dominates discussions in the country. It is likely to be because of the death of a royal. It could be the King himself, though a younger member of the royal family, too, cannot be ruled out. There could also, or instead, be a major scandal involving a royal or very high figure of the nation.
  • Notable events occur causing deaths of travellers and/or the young or students/academicians. Major transportation accident, probably involving a plane or ship, is likely.
  • Death of prominent writers, journalists, actors, screenwriters and other communication professionals.
  • It is a difficult period for the country's finances. Financial relations with other countries suffer. High expenditure is incurred on armed forces, especially the Navy. However, incidents of discontent in the armed forces may occur, particularly the Air Force or Navy.
  • Loss of ships or deaths of sailors or Navy personnel.
  • Riots, crime or scandal motivated by religion or involving religious figures or a religious community occur.

For possible critical dates specific to the country, see the Critical Dates page. A critical date I've added there now: 18 Sep 2026.
