United Arab Emirates (UAE): Summer 2026

Most of my predictions for the UAE for Spring 2026 were accurate: the country suffered almost throughout this period from several strikes, engagement in war (albeit not made public, contrary to my anticipation), troubles for the country's stocks, high expenditure, migration and religious questions at the forefront (with the country's targeting of Shia Muslims), and very high rainfall (including a record-breaking deluge at the end of March 2026). It is back in March 2025 that I had predicted a strong slump in the real estate sector of the country for a long time ahead, and that continued to be true as well.

PREDICTIONS

• A few spells of heavy rain and strong winds likely, but overall, the season is expected to be quite hot, especially late June to late July period.
• Leadership of the country or its royals as well as the status and stature of the country are in prominent focus during this period.
• Major scandal or death may afflict an important member of the country's government or a prominent royal, most likely from the House of Nahyan (Abu Dhabi's royals), though the House of Maktoum or the other royal families of the country cannot be ruled out, either. Death (probably assassination) seems highly likely. The hand of a rival or foreign enemy could be behind the events.
• Foreign relations continue to be very troubling for the country and its leadership. The country continues to be aggressive in its foreign policy during this period. War and strikes on the country are likely to continue.
• Religious, legal or constitutional troubles could occur in the country, or death(s) or troubles to those who work in the domain of religion, science, law or higher education could occur. Religion and/or law could be the instruments or reasons of oppression.
• The country continues to suffer financially, particularly its real estate sector. Foreign trade and shipping look badly afflicted in this period. There are likely to be casualties at sea or by the coast.
• Incidents of fire could occur, especially during late June to late July 2026. Deaths of firefighters or soldiers could occur in the country during this period.
• Early July 2026 could in particular be a difficult time for the country with regard to some of the above points.
