Region in focus: Italy & the Vatican

General validity period: end of Jun 2024 to end of Sep 2024

Season published: Northern Hemisphere Summer (end of Jun 2024 to end of Sep 2024)

This post must be read in conjunction with the overall year's (Mar 2024-Mar 2025) predictions published here earlier for Italy & the Vatican.

Predictions:

  • The country may go through a severe tragedy during this season. See some of the below points.
  • As I have mentioned previously, there's a strong chance of an earthquake/landslide or falling of structures near the 10.3 degrees East longitude line, especially in Italy. Many places in Italy, given the country's narrow shape, would fall around this longitude, notably the Brescia-Bergamo area, which is quite a seismically active area. The area around Florence, too, looks a particular risk to me. Even big cities of Italy such as Milan and Rome are not far from this line. Mid- and late July periods as well as mid- and late September periods (see Critical Dates page) look especially critical regarding this.
  • Accidents connected with mines or buildings (especially any buildings used for academic/legal/scientific/religious/research purposes) very likely. This could be related to the above point.
  • It could be a hot summer overall. A good risk of fires is also there. Farmland may suffer.
