South Korea & North Korea: Spring & Summer 2026

This post is regarding astrological predictions for the Koreas during Spring-Summer seasons (late March 2026 to late September 2026 period). Region in focus: Koreas (South Korea & North Korea)

General validity period: late March 2026 to late September 2026 (around 20 Mar 2026 to 23 Sep 2026)

Season of focus: Northern Hemisphere Spring (late Mar 2026 to late Jun 2026)

PREDICTIONS

Korean Peninsula, overall

• Incidents of major fires, especially in forests, mines, houses, farms and landed property.
• M4.5+ earthquake highly likely. (The area of Okinawa, south off the Korean peninsula and ruled by Japan, could see an M6.0+ earthquake.)
• Strong troubles for ruler(s). If situation warrants, ruler may lose power. Death of an important person from the ruling authorities or elite class: this could be an assassination.
• Violent incidents, especially those in the form of strong protests, riots, demonstrations, etc., highly likely.
• Mass calamities and noteworthy incidents of poisoning as well as attacks/bites from animals likely in the region during this period.
• Agriculture may suffer.
• Strong precipitation and storms expected during Spring. There may be spells of strongly high temperatures during Spring.

South Korea

• Infectious disease may ground in the country during this period.
• In capital Seoul, the incumbent Mayor could lose the June 2026 election.
• Foreign relations, especially with countries far away, will be highly disturbed and suffer from hostility. There may also be major secret machinations against the country. Warlike talk and military movements may occur. Military affairs are prominent in this period and may incur strong expenditure.
• However, there may also be some consolidation in relations and increase in goodwill with a nearby country.
• Public ceremony could occur relating to a high office. There may also be scandal regarding someone in high life.
• Major scandals connected to women or family life or celebrities could occur.

North Korea

• Troubles could occur to mining places or buildings.
• The country may see a radical change in governance and identity in this period. Late April to early May 2026 could bring a momentous event. This could hinge upon the death of a major political figure. A high likelihood that this could be the ruler, and this could be an assassination.
• Strong discussion in media about the ruler or government of the country.
• There is strong discontent or excitement among the people of the country. There now are impediments to the way governance mechanisms had worked till now. The country has now entered a long period of political instability, attempts of power grab and popular discontent (manifesting in riots, demonstrations, rebellions, armed movements, etc.).
• From late April 2026 onwards, the country is entering a long period of several years in which its financial relations with other countries undergo a strong realignment.
• Important questions and changes relating to the constitutional framework of the country, or important judicial cases may present themselves; this may continue for several months (beyond this period as well).
• High expenditure may be incurred on security and/or military forces.
• Disease, probably infectious, could be troubling here as well during this period.
