Case study: 2024 concert hall attack & 2002 hostage crisis, Moscow

I write this with a heavy heart: it is difficult to imagine ordinary people, out for a nice evening, coming under attack and spending the rest of their lives in trauma or injured, or even dead. It is doubly unfortunate since astrology shows the very precise days that such attacks could have happened, where and the very nature of them, and yet, taking modern science as the new religion of choice, no one, not even Russia, a country that has been known for respecting traditional knowledge in the domain of science, seems to look into it much.

Moscow 2024 concert hall attack

Let us start with the most recent incident, which is yesterday itself. I did not predict it in my recent predictions for Russia, as my predictions period is just starting: this event was shown very explicitly in the 2023 charts, given that 2023 is only now ending astrologically, as spring and 2024 begin.

Look at the following chart, which shows the seasonal chart, that is, Capricorn ingress chart (for winter 2023-24 season), for Russia. The chart is overlaid on Russia's own "birth" chart, for which I take Boris Yeltsin's announcement of December 8, 1991, about the end of the Soviet Union as the date of "birth" of Russia. (This not only usually works very well for Russia, but also is very suitable on both the occasions under study here, given that terrorists are attacking the very idea of how the Russian federation is composed.)

I have highlighted here a few moving bodies, as they are critical to the analysis here, though others are also important. The very first thing to notice is Mars transiting through 5th house, the house representing venues and activities of amusement and pleasure, such as a concert hall. This Mars is in a wide-orbed conjunction with Sun and a retrograde Mercury. The Sun is entering the 6th house, putting it under a spotlight. Besides police and armed forces, the 6th can also represent those who are subjugated or colonised, for example, the Muslim areas in the Caucasus (Ingushetia, Chechnya, etc.). Now let us look at the most critical element in this chart: Chiron.

In my experience, the terrorist is often represented in a mundane chart by Chiron or Neptune (or both), and sometimes by Mercury (especially if retrograde) or Pluto. Here, Chiron is very much the prime element. Chiron, the wounded healer, is, well, the wounded. Chiron represents the aggrieved, the outcast, the ignored, the marginalised in any society. Terrorists, being often motivated by some resentment, often are embodied by Chiron. They can also be embodied often by Neptune (the misguided, the deceived, the one operating under illusion) and sometimes by Mercury (the message-bearer, the one whose communication has gone kaput when it's a stationary/retrograde Mercury) or Pluto (the one who wants to wipe off the current status quo and bring some new life to the society). Now look at what is happening in this chart.

Chiron (the aggrieved) is in a very powerful position (close to midheaven), in a masculine sign of action (Aries) and is squaring the Russian chart's conjunction of Moon (masses), Neptune (psyche of the nation) and Uranus (shock). This Chiron here is getting "fed" by the Russian chart's Sun-Mercury conjunction, indicating the aggrieved party is getting its motivation force of resentment from the nation's ruling government (Sun) and a lack of communication (retrograde Mercury). Now this square does not augur well at all. One has to now see the movements of Mars or Mercury (and sometimes Saturn) to see which dates are critical.

If I were practising mundane astrology already in December 2023, my first doubts about a critical date would go to finding when Mars squares any of these elements of their midpoints, which are often very critical in triggering events, as both ends of a midpoint get activated. Let us check an important midpoint above. One has Chiron in tension with Moon and Neptune. The midpoint of Chiron and Moon comes out to be 29 degrees 56 minutes in the sign of Aquarius. Given that Neptune is so close to Moon, calculating its midpoint is not so important, given that Mars will transit to it within a day or so.

Now we check when Mars will arrive at 29 degrees 56 minutes in the sign of Aquarius. And what do we see?

It is precisely at this degree and minute on the midnight of 22nd-23rd March, i.e. 00:44 hours of 23rd March. Considering that Mars would arrive at the midpoint of Chiron-Neptune soon, too, one would say that the time from around 22nd of March morning (when Mars entered within a 0.5 degree distance of the midpoint) till the 25th of March morning is critical. The attack happened on 22nd March evening.

The attack happened in a concert hall (Mars in 5th house in ingress chart) and was claimed by Islamists. Russia has a long history now of fight with Islamists and those republics which want independence from the Russian federation (Chiron placement and aspects, and Sun entering 6th house in ingress chart). The fight affects lots of civilians (Moon in tension with Chiron, Moon on midheaven in ingress chart), and several elderly (Saturn in 8th in the ingress chart). Venus is also in 8th at the time of Mars reaching the midpoint place, thus women also may be among the dead, and children (5th house also governs children).

This analysis would probably also give you an idea of how many ends a mundane astrologer has to pick up and tie them to give some kind of an advance warning of an event. (And I have not shown here all those ends – for example, Mercury being in the sign of its detriment – for the sake of keeping it simple.) The mundane astrologer's job is not so simple and easy, especially as the world is ready to ridicule them in case the probability of something does not materialise, or in case the astrologer failed to tie something up, leading them to a misintepretation. The astrologer also does not want unfortunate probabilities to materialise, so sometimes they are happy with the ridicule!

Now let us compare with another fated terrorist attack, again at an amusement place, the so-called 2002 hostage crisis, again in Moscow.

In October 2002, a quite similar crisis perpetrated by similar actors had happened. Many of my readers must not have been even born at that time, but Putin was still ruling the country as he is doing today!

Let us start from the Aries ingress chart itself for the year 2002. Given that the Ascendant is in a fixed sign (Scorpio), the interpretations are believed to carry some validity for a year.

The chart is not overlaid on Russia's "birth" chart: we are just interested how for this geography planets are playing out. Notice how Mercury (communication, youth, the planet governing theatrical performances) in the 5th house, the house of places of amusement, such as a theatre) is almost acting itself as a midpoint in tension between Pluto (wiping out) from the 2nd house (borders, resources) and Moon (masses) from the 8th house (death). We already know from such a strong testimony that places of amusement are in danger where masses can die. Sun's spotlight is again on 6th, and this incident was a 4-day operation to get hostages out and kill the terrorists, so commando forces were indeed involved. Note also the tension between Chiron (the outcast, the aggrieved) and Jupiter (the nobles, the elites).

Now let us look at the chart for the season (autumn) in which the incident happened with overlay of Russia's "birth" chart:

This chart's testimony confirms what we saw in the yearly chart and points this particular season to be the affected period in the year. Just like the last time, Moon (in conjunction with Black Moon Lilith) is once again at the top of the chart, indicating something (with dark forces) involving masses to be at the forefront. Jupiter is conjuncting "birth" Chiron. Pluto now finds itself moving through that fated 5th house now, conjuncting Russia's Sun-Mercury conjunction. But on top of that, this Sun-Mercury conjunction is in a very tight square (i.e., tension) with Mars transiting the 2nd. So all this (and other testimonies which I don't discuss here to keep it simple) very much indicates some kind of attack on a place of amusement. But when?

Let us again go by the element of tension in this chart: Mars in tension with that Mercury-Sun. One would track Mars' movements always for an incident, even if it were not directly involved in an aspect. Movements of Sun too can sometimes be important, and occasionally Mercury, Chiron, and Saturn, too. Now if I were a mundane astrologer at that time, I would have given a few critical dates, with especially Mars in the mind, and then also looked at Mercury and Sun.

I find that here both Mercury and Sun show the date of the attack, with the Sun even showing almost the exact time. The Sun will reach the midpoint of ingress Mars (at 15deg38 in Virgo) and "birth" retrograde Mercury (15deg51 in Sagittarius) when it will reach 0 degree 44 minutes in the sign of Scorpio. And when does that happen?

At midday of 24th of October, it reaches exactly at that point. In the afternoon of 22nd of October, Mercury had already reached the contra-antiscion of Mars, at 14 degrees 22 minutes in the sign of Libra. Thus, the dates from 22nd of October morning till 24th of October night could be considered critical: the attack happened on the evening of 23 October, and the crisis finished on 26 October, with all 40 terrorists and 132 hostages dead. Most died because of the use of a poison gas by the Russian special forces: note that the house of death, the 8th house, in the Aries ingress chart is the sign of Gemini, an air sign. Note also the presence of the North Node, the amplifier Rahu, in the 8th house there. Did it signify the amplification of the number of dead? Or the number of death operators (the terrorists)? Or both?
