A brief astrological note on Delhi assembly elections of Feb 2025

In my predictions for India for the ongoing Winter 2024-25 period, published back on December 14, 2024, I had said this:

"The Delhi assembly polls, which should happen during this period, may see surprising reverses for the Aam Aadmi Party (AAP)."

The dates of the Delhi assembly elections had not been announced at the time I wrote the above. Subsequently, on January 8, 2025, the Election Commission (EC) of India announced February 5, 2025, as the date of the election and February 8, 2025, as the date for counting the votes.

A few hours remain now for the counting and results to start coming in. I did not have time to look at the election chart earlier, but I did so now. Here is the chart:

Delhi is a bit tricky, given that two governments occupy it: India's national government, and Delhi's own government. What is unmistakable, however, from the charts is that, with a well-dignified Mercury conjunct the Ascendant, this election may generate a lot of noise and controversy, much, much more than the usual. With Mercury in such a position and Neptune exactly conjunct the North Node (Rahu), the chart also shows quite strongly that a lot of deception and/or fraud of some kind has taken place in the conduct of the election.

Seeing Moon's transits in the chart, the square to Mercury shows that the controversy starts very soon after the elections are over, and the square to the Sun following it soon after indicating that things would come in spotlight or things would be revealed not too long after.

The 10th house ruler (signifying the ruling power), Mars, is retrograde and in the sign of its fall, but this Mars is also on the antiscion of Jupiter, which is in the sign of its detriment and stationary. Uranus is close to the IC.

The result is that I continue to hold on to the same prediction I had. I see strong setbacks for the ruling party AAP, and it wouldn't surprise me if it even loses power. At the same time, there seems to be some hidden benefit for the AAP in this setback given that Jupiter antiscia positioning.

The next few weeks look intriguing.
